Laura Dixon, M.Sc. (she/her)

Laura is a research assistant with the Maritime Eating and Appearance Lab. In 2021, Laura graduated from Dalhousie University with a MSc in Psychiatry Research specializing in eating disorders. Previously, Laura attended Saint Mary’s University where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree double majoring in Psychology (Honours) and Biology. Laura began working with Dr. Aaron Keshen during her undergraduate degree in 2016 and has coordinated several projects including a feasibility trial examining the use of Lisdexamfetamine dimesylate for adults with bulimia nervosa. She completed both her honours thesis and master’s thesis under Dr. Keshen’s supervision. Laura is currently in her final year of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Dalhousie. Laura is interested in clinical research that evaluates novel and existing treatment interventions for eating disorders.
